Joining the beta
Period Pals is in beta on iPhone. Install Apple’s free TestFlight app from the App Store, then open the invitation link on your iPhone and tap Accept and Install. Updates arrive through TestFlight.
To send feedback, take a screenshot while you’re in Period Pals and tap Share Beta Feedback, or open TestFlight, choose Period Pals and tap Send Beta Feedback.
Inviting a pal
Open the Pals tab and tap Invite a pal, then share the invitation. Your pal installs Period Pals, taps I have an invite on the first screen and enters the code. An invitation works for 7 days and only once; a used one is replaced by a fresh one.
Something from a pal didn’t arrive
- Both phones need an internet connection. Things are delivered when the app is open, so ask your pal to open Period Pals once.
- For a notification when something arrives, allow notifications on the Pals tab. If you turned them off in iOS, switch them on again in the iPhone’s Settings, under Notifications, Period Pals.
Moving to a new iPhone
There’s no account, so your garden lives on your phone. It comes along when you set up your new iPhone from a backup of the old one. You can also open Settings (the gear on Today), tap Save a backup, and restore that file on the new phone with Restore a backup.
Predictions
Period Pals estimates your next period from your past cycles, so it gets better the more you track. Predictions are estimates. Period Pals is not a method of contraception and not a medical device.
Deleting your data
Open Settings (the gear on Today) and tap Delete everything. All your data is removed from the phone and your pals are told you’ve left. More in the privacy policy.
